What We Do

Cat & Crow Community Interest Company delivers structured, community-based wellbeing activity designed to increase social connection, reflection, and practical understanding.

Our work is preventative and non-clinical. We aim to strengthen participation and emotional awareness within local community settings, offering steady, professionally facilitated space that complements existing services.

Facilitated Group Sessions

We run structured group sessions in local community venues across North Torfaen and surrounding areas.

Sessions are professionally facilitated and designed to feel calm, contained, and purposeful. Each meeting follows a clear structure and includes guided reflection, optional written prompts, and facilitated discussion.

Group sizes are kept manageable to ensure appropriate attention and psychological safety. Participants are invited to contribute but are never required to disclose personal information.

The emphasis is on thoughtful participation rather than performance.

Psycho-Educational Workshops

In addition to group sessions, we deliver educational workshops focused on practical psychological understanding.

Topics may include stress regulation, emotional literacy, resilience, communication, and everyday coping strategies. Concepts are explained in accessible language, without unnecessary jargon.

The aim is to provide tools that can be applied in real life rather than abstract theory.

Reflective and Creative Practice

We incorporate structured reflective exercises and guided journalling within many of our sessions.

These practices support clarity of thought, emotional processing, and self-awareness. Activities are optional and paced appropriately.

Participants are encouraged to engage at a level that feels comfortable and proportionate.

What This Is – and What It Is Not

Cat & Crow is not a therapy service.

We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. We do not provide crisis intervention or specialist clinical care.

Our work complements existing services by offering structured, community-based participation and accessible psychological education.

Where specialist support is required, we signpost appropriately. Clarity and professional boundaries protect both participants and facilitators.

How Our Work Benefits the Community

Our activities aim to:

• Reduce social isolation
• Increase participation in local community life
• Improve emotional understanding
• Strengthen practical coping skills
• Provide structured, inclusive space for reflection

By embedding wellbeing activity within community venues, we strengthen connection at a local level and reduce barriers to access.

Community benefit is central to our work and embedded within our legal structure as a Community Interest Company.
